Our WHS RPL Courses

The Diploma of Work Health and Safety (WHS) is a higher-level qualification than the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. The Diploma provides more advanced knowledge and skills in workplace health and safety management, while the Certificate IV focuses on operational aspects of WHS. Both qualifications are designed to help you develop your career in health and safety, but the Diploma is geared towards those seeking leadership roles in the industry.

The Cert 4 Workplace Health and Safety is a nationally recognised qualification that provides you with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage and maintain workplace health and safety. By obtaining this certification, you demonstrate your commitment to promoting a safe working environment and may qualify for roles such as WHS coordinators, safety officers, or safety advisors.

Yes, 3CIR offers the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for both the Diploma of Work Health and Safety and the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. RPL allows you to gain credit for your existing skills, knowledge, and experience, potentially reducing the study required to obtain your qualification.

For the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, there are no formal entry requirements. However, it is recommended that you have good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. For the Diploma of Work Health and Safety, you should complete the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or have relevant work experience in a health and safety role.

The duration for completing the WHS Certificate (Cert 4 Health and Safety) and the Diploma of Work Health and Safety vary depending on your existing skills, knowledge, and the study mode you choose. With Recognition of Prior Learning, you may be able to complete the qualifications in a shorter time. Generally, the Certificate IV can be completed in 6-12 months, while the Diploma may take 12-24 months. However, the duration may differ for each individual, depending on their circumstances and learning pace.
