Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB60619) is a nationally regulated assessment process that evaluates a person's existing WHS strategy, safety auditing, safe design, ergonomics, and organisational safety culture skills against the 11 competency units required for this Australian Qualifications Framework Level 6 credential. Rather than completing formal study, experienced WHS managers and safety leaders provide evidence of their existing skills — gathered from leading organisational safety programs — which is assessed by qualified assessors against each unit's performance criteria. Qualifications are issued by Asset College (RTO 31718), regulated by ASQA, and carry identical standing to credentials obtained through traditional study pathways.
