Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB51319) is a nationally regulated assessment process that evaluates a person's existing WHS risk management, incident investigation, management system development, and consultation skills against the 10 competency units required for this Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5 credential. Rather than completing formal study, experienced WHS managers and senior safety professionals provide evidence of their existing skills — gathered from leading organisational safety programs — which is assessed by qualified assessors against each unit's performance criteria. Entry requires completion of BSB41419 Cert IV WHS core units or equivalent. Qualifications are issued by Asset College (RTO 31718), regulated by ASQA, and carry identical standing to credentials obtained through traditional study pathways.
