Entry requirement — read this first. Unlike most qualifications, the Diploma of Work Health and Safety has a hard entry requirement set in the national training package: you must already hold all core units of the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent mapped predecessor units. If you don't hold them yet, we can assess you for the Certificate IV first and then bring you straight through to the Diploma.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB51319) is a nationally regulated assessment process that evaluates a person's existing WHS risk management, incident investigation, management system development and consultation skills against the 10 competency units required for this Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5 credential. Rather than completing formal study, experienced WHS managers and senior safety professionals provide evidence of their existing skills — gathered from leading organisational safety programs — which is assessed by qualified assessors against each unit's performance criteria. Entry requires all core units of the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or predecessor units mapped as equivalent. Qualifications are issued by Asset College (RTO 31718), regulated by ASQA, and carry identical standing to credentials obtained through traditional study pathways.
