Looking to formalise your project leadership and management capabilities? The BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management is designed for individuals accountable for achieving project objectives. You'll gain a comprehensive skill set covering project scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communication, risk, stakeholder engagement, governance, and procurement management.
This qualification comprises 12 units of competency — 8 core and 4 elective — delivering in-depth project management knowledge that directly translates to civilian roles. Project Managers earn $135,000–$155,000 on average, with senior roles in technology and infrastructure exceeding $200,000.
The Diploma of Project Management is the benchmark qualification for Australia's project management profession. At 3CIR, we provide a programme specifically designed for military and emergency services personnel — people who already manage complex operations, coordinate resources under pressure, and deliver outcomes to strict timelines. You'll formalise your existing project leadership experience while building skills in scope management, cost control, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and project integration.
The BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management unlocks high-demand career opportunities. Graduates can pursue roles as a Project Manager ($135K–$155K), IT Project Manager ($120K–$140K), Construction Project Manager ($125K–$145K), Project Contract Manager, Project Vendor Manager, or Project Team Leader. Senior Project Managers and Project Directors earn $200,000–$245,000+.
Australia's investment in infrastructure, digital transformation, and defence projects is driving record demand for qualified project managers. PM salaries have increased 10–15% over the past five years, and Brisbane's 2032 Olympics preparation is creating an unprecedented pipeline of construction and infrastructure projects. PMP certification can increase earnings by up to 33%.
The course comprises 12 units — 8 core and 4 elective. Core units cover project scope, time, quality, cost, human resources, information and communication, risk, and integration management. Twenty-two elective options include procurement, stakeholder engagement, governance, complex project management, data analysis, compliance, change management, and sustainability.
This is a nationally recognised qualification at AQF Level 5 — the standard entry point for professional project management roles. The natural progression leads to the Advanced Diploma of Program Management and Graduate Diploma of Portfolio Management.
