The Diploma of Quality Auditing (BSB50920) is a nationally recognised credential regulated under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) at Level 5. It develops and formally recognises capability across audit planning, conducting compliance audits, evaluating organisational management systems, and driving continuous improvement. Quality auditors typically work against internationally recognised standards such as ISO 9001 (quality management systems) and apply auditing principles consistent with ISO 19011 (guidelines for auditing management systems), across manufacturing, healthcare, government, construction, and service industries. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a nationally regulated assessment pathway that evaluates existing audit, quality, and compliance experience against these qualification requirements — meaning experienced professionals can gain the formal credential without repeating skills they already hold. The qualification is issued under a third-party arrangement with Asset College (RTO 31718), regulated by ASQA, and carries identical standing to a qualification obtained through traditional study — appearing on the holder's USI transcript and recognised by employers and government agencies across Australia.
