Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Diploma of Correctional Administration (CSC50122) is a nationally regulated assessment process that evaluates a person's existing critical decision-making, workplace relationship management, recruitment, continuous improvement, and knowledge management skills against the 8 competency units required for this Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5 credential. Rather than completing formal study, experienced correctional supervisors and managers provide evidence of their existing skills — gathered from their corrections career — which is assessed by qualified assessors against each unit's performance criteria. Written employer consent is required for enrolment. Qualifications are issued by Asset College (RTO 31718), regulated by ASQA, and carry identical standing to credentials obtained through traditional study pathways.
