Rather than completing formal study, experienced senior managers and business executives provide evidence of their existing skills — gathered from leading organisations and driving strategy — which is assessed by qualified assessors against each unit's performance criteria. What senior business experience counts toward Advanced Diploma of Business RPL?

Any senior role where you've managed strategy, finances, or business operations. This includes operations managers, finance managers, business development directors, senior executives, general managers, business owners scaling operations, and anyone who has developed business plans, managed organisational budgets, led change programs, or driven digital strategy. If you've operated at a strategic level in any industry, you likely qualify.

How much does the Advanced Diploma of Business cost through RPL?

$1,935 with the current 10% discount applied (normally $2,150). This is all-inclusive with no hidden fees and GST-free. Do I need a Diploma first to qualify for the Advanced Diploma RPL?

Entry requires either a completed Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package, OR two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. If you've been managing teams, budgets, strategy, or operations for two or more years — even without a prior qualification — you meet the entry requirements. Is an Advanced Diploma of Business from RPL the same as one from TAFE or university?

Yes — identical. Issued by Asset College (RTO 31718) at AQF Level 6. It carries the same weight as any TAFE or private RTO-issued Advanced Diploma, appears on your USI transcript, and is recognised by employers, recruitment agencies, and professional bodies like the Australian Institute of Management. The qualification is the same — only the pathway differs.

What evidence do I need for Advanced Diploma of Business RPL?

Evidence from your senior business and strategic management experience. This includes: strategic business plans, financial reports and P&L statements, board papers, digital strategy documents, CSR reports, change management plans, workforce planning documents, innovation proposals, job descriptions showing executive responsibilities, and references from directors or senior stakeholders. We provide templates and checklists. You don't need documents to start — evidence gathering comes after the free assessment.

What happens if I don't have enough evidence for every unit?

That's completely normal — and it doesn't stop you getting qualified. Most RPL candidates have gaps in 1–3 units. When your assessor identifies gaps, 3CIR provides targeted gap training at no extra cost. You only complete what's missing — you never redo units you're already competent in. After completing gap training, your full Advanced Diploma of Business is issued. Many candidates progress to the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) (from ~~$3,650~~ $3,285) afterwards.
