Asset College’s – HLTAID003 Provide First Aid


HLTAID003 Provide First Aid is nationally accredited providing participants with the qualification to be a First Aid representative in many workplaces and other required situations. This course has been designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to respond safely and effectively manage first aid situations until the handover to medical professionals is possible.

This course covers the new Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and is also Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) approved for childcare workers.

On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a First Aid Certificate (Statement of Attainment).

Our Provide First Aid course is made up of 2 units:
• HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
• HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

The First Aid course is completed face-to-face in one day (eight hours). To ensure the integrity of our assessment process there is no online assessment completed, however, written assessment and progressive assessments will take place during the practical sessions. Assessments cover all the required topics learnt throughout the day.

The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that First Aiders complete a CPR Refresher course every 12 months and the full First Aid Course every 3 years.
